I also have several nvidia shield boxes in the house doing direct play 4k with over 40Mbps. It's an older 4th gen dual xeon server with 32 cores and an Geforce 1080 graphic card power transcoding. I have 1.2Gbps internet connection where the server is hosted. #TRANSCODING THROTTLED PLEX 720P#
It is directly attributable to Stash and even happens when streaming files with less than 10mbps to 720p which isn't very CPU intensive.Įven more concerning, when closing all Stash tabs, the high CPU usage persists until I restart the container despite nothing being streamed (and ideally not being transcoded) I have a Threadripper 2950x, so that is an insane amount to hit 100%. Quickly, my CPU hits 100% and everything comes to a grinding halt.

So I sometimes open up multiple Stash tabs and drop the quality when streaming from one of them. Whenever I am streaming from Stash remotely, I sometimes need to drop the video quality because of my remote upload. This issue has been something I have noticed for months now but am still struggling to effectively capture.
